Youth Panel

Join the Youth Panel and Make the Decisions that Count!

If you are aged between 11 and 19, and living in Radstock or Westfield then you are invited to join the Youth Panel – a group who decide which young people’s project ideas get funded from the Youth Fund. You will be be part of the decisions that affect young people’s lives in the local area. This is a very important role and is a great way to build your confidence, learn new skills and will look amazing on your C.V.

The panel meets most months. You will discuss the applications and decide which will receive the funding. The panel will be supported by Youth Connect and Radstock and Westfield Big Local.

To join get in touch with Sarah at sarahwestell@radstockwestfield.org.uk / Rob at robwicke@radstockwestfield.org.uk or Katy at katy_roberts@bathnes.gov.uk

Background:

The Youth Panel’s full title is the Radstock and Westfield Big Local Youth Panel. This is because it is part of the Radstock and Westfield Big Local; a community group that invests locally to make good things happen.

The Youth Panel was set up to give young people a say on how this community group should invest. They have been given £5,000 a year for three years. Young people are invited to think of a project that will be of benefit to them or the community and make an application to the Youth Panel for funding to help make it happen.
