“The project engaged approximately 10–15 local families who attended regularly, including mothers, grandmothers, and pre-school children. It provided a valuable opportunity for families to come together and enjoy the Southfields Community Garden, helping them connect with nature and with each other.
Participants particularly enjoyed the forest school activities, which encouraged outdoor learning, creativity, and exploration. Spending time in a natural environment supported both children’s development and adults’ wellbeing, offering a calm and welcoming space to relax, socialise, and build confidence.
Many new friendships were formed through the project, helping to strengthen community bonds. We also received very positive feedback from participants, with many expressing appreciations for the sessions and the welcoming, supportive environment. Overall, the project has had a meaningful and lasting impact on those involved.” – Dominika Baran
