The Norton Radstock Amateur Boxing Association made a passionate pitch for £500 at our 8th Dragons’ Den, to put towards a defibrilator for the community. They won, and here’s the evidence!

The Radstock & Westfield Big Local run a grant giving event, called Dragons’ Den. This is where individuals and organisations who have an idea of how to make our area an even better place to live, pitch to the audience of local residents who then decide what projects they want to see happen in the community. Each winner is awarded £500 to bring their idea to life.

Graffiti in Radstock
Youth Connect South West, with the help of some of their young people, gave a brilliant pitch at our 8th Dragons’ Den, and won a grant of £500 towards a graffiti project, here’s their report… The youth team at Radstock have been able to offer a summer graffiti project on the hoarding at Radco,

That’s another £5k invested in the Radstock and Westfield community for people to carry out projects that will benefit local people. Prattens Light Up
Prattens won a grant at the Big Local Dragons’ Den in order to improve their lighting in the hall… here’s a picture of the lights being fitted:

Good work Red Box project!
Our Dragons’ Den winner, Jen Hird, has made a massive difference to the community with her Red Box project. She spent her winnings on providing menstrual supplies to the local schools to help counter “period poverty” in a discreet way. The presence of the box in schools has also helped the schools start more conversations
