Heart Talks

HeartTalks CIC were worthy winners at our 12th Dragons’ Den, and have recently reported on their project, named HEARTS IN HEALING CARE PACKAGES for those affected by early loss of their baby during pregnancy:

The project had a meaningful impact on the local community by bringing people together to support those experiencing early pregnancy loss. We hosted a care-pack packing event where volunteers gathered to assemble the packs, creating a supportive environment where open and thoughtful conversations could take place. This helped break down the stigma surrounding pregnancy loss and encouraged people to talk more openly about an experience that is often difficult to discuss.

We also held crochet workshops where community members came together to learn, share skills, and crochet hundreds of small hearts that were included in the care packs. These handmade items added a personal and compassionate touch, symbolising care, remembrance, and community support.

Each item in the care packs was carefully and sensitively selected to provide comfort and something tangible for those experiencing loss. The process also opened conversations with local suppliers and partners, helping to raise awareness more widely.

The completed care packs will shortly be delivered to local services and first-point care providers, helping to ensure that anyone experiencing early pregnancy loss in the area feels seen, supported, and acknowledged in their experience, and leaves with items that offer comfort during a very difficult time.
