Hope House Helps Sugar Smart Campaign

We awarded Hope House just under £500 to purchase scales with height measure for the residents of Radstock to be able to regularly check their weight/BMI accurately. This is because there has been a steep rise in the prevalence of obesity amongst the residents of Radstock over the last few years. This is largely lifestyle related and a lot of people are unaware that they are overweight and the impact this has on their health. The measuring equipment will be available to anyone, not just patients. We are aware that accurate scales are expensive and a lot of people are unable to afford these at home. They will be able to monitor their own/weight BMI and make improvements to their health.
