We are pleased to have contributed £5,000 towards the creation of an accessible nature area, including a pond, at Westfield Primary School.
The school reported: that the site was significantly overgrown, unsafe and inaccessible to all of our school community. The area was cleared during Summer 2021 to enable all of the school’s children, from 2 year olds in the nursery to 11 year olds to access the area all year round. A compacted gravel surface will also enable wheelchair access for one of our current pupils. The area will undoubtedly enhance the schools’ science curriculum and all associated learning along with creating more forest school opportunities and adding to the popular after school gardening club.
