Residents want to access services and information that enables them to take charge of their health and wellbeing. We have so much going on in our community – from sports teams to support groups, coffee mornings to free outdoor gyms – that we want to help promote these and invest in providing more options.

Square hot meal project reaches 50 meals in under a week!
In response to the coronavirus lockdown we quickly came up with a project that provided people in need with a regular hot square meal. We were able to call on some local supporters who joined as volunteers and found a local business in Riverbank Cafe that we could purchase meals from. We’re working with Compassionate

Good work Red Box project!
Our Dragons’ Den winner, Jen Hird, has made a massive difference to the community with her Red Box project. She spent her winnings on providing menstrual supplies to the local schools to help counter “period poverty” in a discreet way. The presence of the box in schools has also helped the schools start more conversations

WAGS DD7 winnings help create new allotment site
The land behind the garages at Larch Court until April in 2019 was a patch of unused waste ground, it has now been turned into allotments for the local people surrounding the area, and it’s bringing people together for a common cause.
Hope House Helps Sugar Smart Campaign
We awarded Hope House just under £500 to purchase scales with height measure for the residents of Radstock to be able to regularly check their weight/BMI accurately. Youth Connect Supports Sugar Smart
We awarded Youth Connect £500 to deliver training to young people over the course of 15 cooking sessions. The sessions were held at Radstock and Westfield Youth clubs focusing on low sugar and healthy eating. 45 young people took part in the cooking activities, however a lot more young people took part in the eating
